The petcocks of our XL250-XL600R, XL250 Degree, NX250, NX650 and AX1 are almost identical. There are only differences in the diameter of the outlet (NX650 8mm tubes, all other 6mm) and the cover plate (large handle on the NX250). The seals are identical and occasionally treated with a little silicone spray they stay tight for a long time. If that no longer helps, the seal must be replaced - unfortunately Honda does not sell it separately for these models.
However, seals from TRX quads fit and are available from Honda

NX650 dominator petcock - note the large 8mm outlet
First you have to drill out the two aluminum rivets and remove the retaining plate. Then drill 2.5mm holes and cut an M3 thread.
Don't forget the water chamber when cleaning. Reassemble with two M3 screws, done. And even keeps it tight Instead of the ugly slotted screws you can of course also use Phillips round head screws.
NX250 petcocks - note the small 6mm outlet and large handle
What also belongs to this topic - the seal of the petcock to the gas tank. The tank strainer is responsible for this, on which an O-ring 10.6x1.3 sits. Unless absolutely necessary, resist the temptation to pull the strainer out. It usually sits rock solid and you can only ruin it when using a grip - replacement is expensive (NX250 and NX650 RD02 have the same filter https://zsf-motorrad.de/product/190583%7C0 , even more expensive with CMS). With a thick screw and MOS2 spray you have better prospects, but I've long given up the habit of pulling out the sieve "just to look"
