Hello all.
New here
I'm Henrik Nikolajsen from Denmark, and I hope you can you can answer even that German is not my strong side, and therefore write in English.
If possible also answer in English, if not..well maybe I will understand
I'm very close to buy a Honda NX 250 from 1988 as my second bike, and from VIN "MD216000469" on cmsnl.com, I see that it comes from Germany, and it is a 15 HP model.
And here comes the question (it might already been answered here but I did not find it)
How is it restricted to 15 HP?
And of course how do I remove it? (maybe already removed)
I guess that it is in carburetor or the airflow.
Maybe only main jet?

Grind the hole bigger (because part no longer available)

Welcome to the club . English is fine, but I will later move that thread to the international board viewforum.php?f=20
The 1988 NX250 was restricted by a tighter intake manifold and a larger main jet. But almost all were de-restricted later. And believe it or not – not all owners bothered with having it legalized. So even though the documents may state 15 hp it is very likely that the NX250 already has 26 hp. I don’t know about the speed limit in Denmark - if the NX is running faster than 125km/h it should be the 26hp version.
Otherwise it is not a big deal to grind out the intake

Well, a few places we are allowed to go 130 km/h, so I can test it
But I guess that I just will remove carburetor, and have a look at it.
And yes, it not removed, no big deal.

And here it is, on the ferry, on the way to it's new home.
It is supposed to only have 25500 on ODO, and it kind of looks like it is true
