16 "to 17" rear wheel

Given the difficulty of finding options to change the tire, I want to put 17 "rim on the rear wheel. What change options with other models do we have that have a 17 wheel? Would it be convenient to change the swingarm as well? Greetings to all .

Hi,

the information from this thread is still up to date (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=864 - I will later move this inquiry to this thread). So a rear wheel of an XL350R or XL250R (84-87 with 2.15-17 rim) fits plug and play. However, there may be legal problems, e.g. in Germany a usual 120/90-17 tire is not allowed on a 2.15-17 rim. In this case, get a 2.50-17 rim from an XL600R and have it spoked with new spokes on an NX250 wheel hub.

Chainging the swing arm is too complex and expensive imho

ok, maybe we try it the other way around - which off-road Honda were sold in Spain? I mentioned XL350/XL250 because they were sold in Germany, thus their wheels are available.

I sended mine to Haan Wheels (located in the Netherlands) and they are going to change it to the 17" rim for me.
The size for the tire will be the same as the NX650 and there are plenty of MX tires (if you want that) to use that on the 17".

Ugh .. I don't know, for sure honda cr250r, from the year 71/72. But neither is there that generation, the following had a brake disc. Honda xr250r but there is nothing either. It is difficult. Found a Honda XLX350 ... does it work?

interesting model, never heard of before. But it has a different hub. If you want I can take a look around. The XL350 was sold relatively often here, so sooner or later a good, affordable rear wheel will appear. The shipping to Spain would be € 21 - so I guess that - shipping included - something around € 100 for a XL350R rear wheel seems possible.

Good morning. I asked at a junkyard in Spain for xl 250/350 wheels and they told me they have this, today I will ask them about the hub and rim measurements, to know, more than anything.
