Hi,
Sold my little NX 250. Wanted something a bit stronger and not too heavy… or too expensive! The winner was a Suzuki Freewind 650. Spent last Saturday working on it: adjust valves, change oil, filter, wheel bearings, new rear tire…
A picture from the “new” XF (later will add better pictures):
Anyway, I have now a few stuffs that may be interesting. After Michael’s permission, I announce it here:
Oil and air filter from Hiflofilter to your NX 250:
Rear right side panel (it’s white) but you can paint on the color you want:
A CDI for our little engine. It’s the “update” version from Shindengen. Not Chinese junk. It’s working perfectly. Bought it as spare but never needed.
Would prefer to sell the 4 stuff as a pack.
150 euros at your door (here in Europe). Payment by money transfer.
More info or questions… feel free to ask here or by pm!
Thanks for watching.

Re: Some stuff for your NX 250 - SOLD
I’m informing that items were sold.
In the meantime, let me say something more about the reasons that made sell the NX.
Let’s be honest! The NX 250 it’s a sweet bike. Easy to ride and maintain, light, nimble, low running costs… the problem was me! Not the bike!
Wanted something a bit more “stronger”! Not too expensive, not to powerful, not too fat… tried the NX 650 but hated the bike: tall seat, vibration and the engine reliability…
The DR 650 was a good alternative but too dirt oriented and I found a 97’ XF Freewind that suits me perfectly: not to heavy (different to light bike), a low seat, reliable as hell (already did a few preventive mods). God bless Internet!
So, I’m now enjoying my new toy and, before some pictures will say the minus and plus, comparing to the NX 250. Did a hard work wrenching (oil, filters, adjust valves…) but enjoyed every second and it’s very easy to work on that engine/bike:
Plus:
Low/middle torque: of course it’s a 650 cc engine;
Comfort: including to passenger;
Long travels: reasonable choice to travel at 120/140 km/h.
Minus:
Weight: the difference is huge: more than 30 kg;
Riding costs: insurance, fuel consumption;
Flexibility: namely on (soft) off-road.
