Re: NX250 front fairing
depends - I already bought the rear fender from that company and the quality is not that good. It needs reworking, that's for sure.ItchyMike hat geschrieben: ↑Do Mär 12, 2020 11:41 am Is this worth considering?

On the other hand, front fairings are really hard to find and expensive and their part is not that expensive https://www.perfect-fairings.com/produc ... _year=1990

Re: NX250 front fairing
Thanks for the feedback, I was considering getting a front fairing too, since mine's a bit scrapped and broken. BTW, I sent you a PM a while ago.

Re: NX250 front fairing
you can also repair ABS plastic (in the same way as you would PVC) with a soldering iron to 'weld' any ninor splits, but it's not as strong a repairscrambler hat geschrieben: ↑Mi Feb 26, 2020 7:10 amThat is correct - the front fender and the covers of the muffler and the airbox are made of different kind of plastic that can’t be glued with aceton.
The rear fender, front fairing and the fairing left and right of the gas tank are made of ABS and can be repaired with an ABS /aceton glue.
I'll keep my eyes open for a front fairing, but as said, they are very rare.

Re: NX250 front fairing
I bought a pair of reproduction fairings from a different supplier but I bet they're all made by the same company. At first glance they look like a good reproduction but when you offer them up the fit is not that accurate, especially where they meet up around the headlamp cover and the top edge of the petrol tank. To make them fit properly requires a reasonable amount of work since they need building up with plastic filler then reshaping. All in a days work for a pro but I decided to ditch the idea and repair my originals. The repros will be a spare of last resort. Thankfully, they weren't expensive. I'd look for good genuine, every time.scrambler hat geschrieben: ↑Do Mär 12, 2020 2:43 pmdepends - I already bought the rear fender from that company and the quality is not that good.
